A small group of desperately poor women in Faisalabad Pakistan heard about our Cross Border Stitching group in Hampshire and asked for our help. It is difficult for uneducated women to find sustainable employment. Sadly some of the women have been raped by their employers and are fearful to alert the authorities due to reprisals. We are committed to working with the women to teach them new skills and help them become small business owners. In preparation for this a small room has been hired and a trainer found to teach the women new skills in sewing.
